Abstract:
Organizational retention is usually a common problem prevailing in most growing companies today. The reason being the inability of the firms to cope with the competitive market dynamics.
Save the Children started working in Pakistan in 1985. Despite being a very successful non-profit organization there are still some evident weaknesses. The turnover is soaring.
This project focuses on the retention problems encountered by Save the Children US, Pakistan Country Office, and is mostly based upon primary sources of data for which earlier research has not been done. However, some secondary sources were also consulted to further facilitate the research.
As a result of conducting this research, we came to know that the primary reasons for a high turnover among employees are due to the lack of new challenges, followed by a need of career progression, frustration with pay levels and not enough training and development opportunities and many more which Save the Children US, Pakistan Country Office can look into to hit upon suitable solution.
Also in an attempt to provide Save the Children US, Pakistan Country Office with a viable solution to the problem of Retention, we conducted a Salary Survey to provide unparalleled access to accurate, easy to use information on salaries, bonuses and key benefits to help benchmark the current salaries against the local or national market.
