Tourism Industry of Pakistan

Abstract

From an idea in the mind of Thoma cook to being the world's second largest man power employment industry, tourism has been one the most important sector of Pakistan's economy in term of it's contribution , so for that we have selected working and analysis of PTDC and TICS. Pakistan tourism Development Corporation of which purpose it operates a number of tourist information centers in the country This r(~port analyze PTDC and TIC's this report conduct an extellsive study of TIC's practices and services, analyze it form various and give recommendation any Pakistan's tourism industry shortcoming. Here the data has been collected by primary and secondary data such as personal visit and websites respectively. Analysis of Pakistan tourism industry reveals that it has a number of distinctive competencies, the most important crucial of which are it's good name and positive image and the support that it gets from being a part of a country wide network Its major weaknesses include HRM practices and HR career planning and progression Due to it's bureaucratic model they do not involve trainers Pakistan tourism can contribute much in to it's GNP but to it's drawbacks such as security and economy in the hands of the country they don't allow and fund them properly for the purpose of investing at the tourism spots such as areas like Kalam and Naran that is their roads are not paved and becomes dangerous durillg slides.
