dc.description.abstract This study investigates various factors of employee performance that are being affected by organizational politics in a service sector of Pakistan. Organizational politics has gained concentration and been of great interest for many scholars, researchers and academicians for decades. Yet, serious focus to research and studies on politics in organizations has emerged as a workable body of scientific inquiry just within the approximately of past twenty years. The main idea of this research was to observe and examine the relationship between organizational politics and employee performance. Study also determines the impact of organizational politics on employee performance. Consequently research examined which of the aspect of employee performance has been significantly influenced by workplace politics. Random sampling consisted of 120 employees of service sector who responded and data is collected primarily from questionnaires and interviews while secondary data is investigated and researched from website material, online different journals of human resource management, and other web sources. Results are thoroughly analyzed through using SPSS software version 20. The analysis revealed that organizational politics have strong relationship with employee performance and they are negatively correlated to each other. Implications and future research directions serves as a spring board for the researchers to for further and detailed research covering more variables and constructs of organizational politics along with employee performance. en_US
