dc.description.abstract Recruitment is an important part of running a fast food organization. Therefore the perfect selection methods will aid the task of predicting which applicant will be most successful in meeting the demands of the job, and be the best fit with the group and culture of the organization. Especially in service industry, the employee retention is a challenge to managers. KFC is taken to be the organization for our project. Research on 30 questionnaires of fast food sector in Islamabad/Rawalpindi designed to learn about current practices in employee retention strategies of service industry’s managerial personnel. This research demonstrates the effective approaches to solve the employee retention problem in KFC. When an employee’s ‘life span’ in the company is increased, the costs of new employees’ interviewing, hiring, orientation and training will decrease. Building a more competitive pay-benefit package is another important method. This project recommends that through extensive managerial training and performance and better pay-benefit scheme, service companies should be able to achieve a better employee retention rate. Each employee will have the feeling that they are a part of family important. They will look forward to working because of the friendly and supportive working environment. In turn, it could generate more profit, more employees, and a better organizational function for everybody. en_US
