dc.description.abstract Many research studies had been carried out in the field of leadership and conflict management in past decade or so. The role of a leader is highly important in handling the inter group conflicts in an organization. The leader may have beyond ordinary skills to direct and influence each individual or a group so that these rising conflicts might be handled effectively. The main objective of this paper is to find out different modes and ways to resolve the conflicts among individuals with relation to transformational leadership in service organizations. The stance of a present study is, whether a relationship exists between the resolution of conflict and transformational leadership styles within an organization. For the purpose of the present study a survey method is used to collect the desired data from a number of service sector organizations. The data was collected from 250 individuals who are working at managerial positions and actively dealing with work conflict of individuals or group. Thomas Killman conflict mode instrument and a multi factor leadership modified questionnaire (MLQX5) were used. The data was analysed using the SPSS to find out the relationship exist between the resolution of conflict and transformational leadership styles within the organization. The present paper showed significant results and suggests that the transformational leadership may have influence on the conflict handling modes in the service sector organization of Pakistan en_US
