Abstract:
violent act in the workplace affects more than just the
person or persons who are directly threatened or harmed.
It affects the entire workforce, damaging the sense of
community and trust and employees’ confidence that they
will be safe while doing their jobs.
The present study is conducted on Redco Textile Mills showing some facts about workplace violence. The study is conducted only to know the reasons of violence, its possible results and its outcomes which definitely have negative impacts.
The study is purely conducted for academic purposes.
Actually the purpose of the study is to know how serious
is the problem and it is not negligible. If any
organization neglects the issue and do not pay a serious
attention over it; than the organization must be ready to
pay the costs.
To complete the study a questionnaire was conducted to collect the data. The sample size in this study consists of 30. The study has been conducted in the natural way to know the actual situations in the Redco Textile Mills. In the study it has been tried best to know each and every aspects of violence and its pitfalls.
There are some analytical tools used for measurements and
conclusions. For this purpose excel histograms and pie
charts have been used in this study.
In the end of the study there some recommendations made and also an action plan has been suggested to tackle the situation when violence occurs on the workplace. The study is beneficial to work out more about workplace violence because this study is very limited in nature as it contains only one organization. So it is very difficult to know the actual facts and figures of whole Textile industry of Pakistan.
