In today’s competitive environment, resource management is given much importance in every organization. This research has tried to study the extent to which resource management has helped the company in achieving a competitive position, focusing attention on leadership, management capabilities, budget allocation, environment, time factors and technological aspects. It has been proved in this study that if leadership, management capabilities, budget allocation, environment, time factors and technological dimensions are used effectively and efficiently then it increases the revenues and number of customers.
The increase in productivity has been studied through hypothesis testing and then the nature of relationship has been discussed which exists between the resource management and productivity.
In this research quantitative data has been used through questionnaire. A questionnaire has been filled by the employees of Telenor. All the questions are closed ended in order to understand descriptively, how resource management would impact the productivity in Telenor.
The scale of the questionnaire being used in this research consists of 4 scales i.e. “Yes”, “No”, “Sometimes”, “Whenever necessary”. Using this scale the respondents have stated their responses to which they agree to the statements being asked.
The secondary data has been collected through various sources like online journals, news articles, internet etc. Brief interviews were also conducted with the HR manager of Telenor to provide more information and in order to understand the proper management of resources in Telenor.
The research conducted had some limitations. This research is carried out mostly on the basis of primary data. Results are drawn on the basis of information provided by the respondents, so chances of errors are many.
The other limitation that created hurdles in conducting the research was that as Telenor is a multinational corporation so they keep their data confidential. Employees also felt hesitant to give information again and again and this behavior was a sign of no corporation. During the interviews, the responses were limited to yes and no which was not enough to prove the study.
