Abstract

The main objective of this project is to develop an online Application for Social Networking to unite people of Pakistan on one platform where they can share their ideas, communicate with each others, discuss there issues and make new friends. The design is really meant to favour all type of communities whether they are computer literate or not. Hence the product is claimed to be highly user friendly, flexible and efficient. As there is huge data spanning over many years, so SQL Server 2005 has been selected for managing data. The standard input screens according to the client’s requirement have been designed in Adobe Photoshop. The major functionality is incorporated by server side scripting that is done in ASP.NET 2.0 to meet the market competitive environment. CSS and HTML are used due to rapid application capability and elegant graphic user interface. The system provides a user friendly interface to insertion, deletion and updating of the record. The project is sponsored by “The Brain and Company’s” who wants to improve abilities and skills in programming so that we become a professional software engineers and to get our grip strong on Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0, C#.NET, SQL Server 2005 etc.
