| dc.description.abstract | Nida Zahid submits this thesis for the degree of Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Thesis supervisor is Col. (r). Imtiaz. A. Mohar. Research title of this thesis is: ‘Training & Development (T & D) is the Key to the Enhanced Organizational Performance of Employees in the Telecom Sector of Islamabad.’ The number of pages for this thesis is hundred (100) and the date of submission is: November 2009. At present the business sector in common and the Telecom Sector in particular are ascertaining ways of enhancing their employees’ organizational performance. Thus, the problem is to find a solution to this organizational quandary of employee performance and how to upgrade the organizational performance of employees through their T & D. This thesis is a descriptive research and the survey methodology used is ‘Questionnaire’. The objective of this thesis is to know about the current T & D practices in the Telecom Sector of Islamabad and then to suggest possible improvements in them for bettering the employee performance, so that it results in high profitability for the company. It is hypothesized that if organizations give apt T & D to their employees, the collective effect will increase the overall organizational performance of the workforce. Thus, this thesis concludes on the verification of this hypothesis. It recommends that the aim of any T & D Program should be to demonstrate; that with the acquisition of new skills via a T & D Program, employees will enhance their organizational performances. | en_US |
