SmartArcher Mobile Game for Java Enabled Smart Phones (P-0501) (MFN 2138)

Abstract

This report will explain the implementation and designing of a java game(Smart Archer) which was designed for Java enabled cell phones. SmartArcher is a game which will be developed using the Java2 Micro Edition. There are lots of constraints like low processing power, small screen sizes, less color and sound support while developing mobile games. The game is developed using J2ME which gave us the opportunity to develop the game for different kind of devices. In this game there is an archer with his bow and arrows whose objective is to hit different targets in its way to get maximum scores. The arrows are limited while there is no arrow in archer bag the game is over. The game is developed using J2me which is a version designed for small devices.J2me contains whole API for game development. The game contains four levels starting from the beginner to the master level. The game will be interruptible if call comes then the user can stop the game and save the current settings and can continue next time from the same stage. Player will have preference to set sounds on or off and set difficulty for the game. The user top three player list will be maintained as the user crosses the top score its name will be entered in the list.
