Globalization & its impact on the Pakistan Economy

Abstract

Globalization in the last two decades has brought significant changes in foreign trade and cross border movement of technology, labor and capital. It has significantly affected the way companies and industries operate today.

This thesis covers the impact of globalization and how it is affecting Pakistan’s Economy today. It also looks into how these changes are affecting the FDI in Pakistan and also determines the relationship of inflation and un-employment, with respect to Pakistan’s Situation.

Various methodologies such as were used to collect data regarding the research topic with respect to variables like GDP, FDI, un-employment & inflation.

Some conclusions and suggestions have been made in this research in the light of the data gathered. It has also been discussed how factors like competition with other developing countries, political stability and law and order are affecting Pakistan’s Economy today in a Globalized Environment. Pakistan’s economic performance after globalization improved by an increase in GDP, FDI although there has been high level of unemployment & inflation.
