dc.description.abstract	The research is conducted to examine the Financial Analysis of E&P Sector of Pakistan by taking the two leading companies of the sector including Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). The performance of both the companies has been analyzed on the basis of their progress in previous eight year from 2001 to year 2008. For the study the data from the Financial Statements of both the companies from 2001 to 2008 is analyzed. Both the companies are doing fairly well in terms of their performance but PPL being a larger enterprise is more aggressive towards drilling and production activities. POL is relatively a smaller enterprise as compared to PPL. The results of both the companies are fairly positive instead of recent financial turmoil in world economy.	en_US
