| dc.description.abstract | Service providers are challenged by price pressures and commoditization of voice minute, negatively affecting revenue and profitability derived from contact centre services, one of their prime areas of focus. This project explores the major problems of revenue faced by telecom companies. The project provides a detailed understanding of the different systems and operations in the revenue assurance department of Telecom Companies specifically to a leading telecom company of Pakistan, Mobilink. This Project also entails a high-level overview of the components, issues and characteristics of each component in the revenue management chain, and will provide information and examples of reports and systems used by the telecom companies to address revenue assurance management challenges. The project presents in-depth consideration of collateral leakage as well as reviewing the revenue management chain and its leakage vulnerability. Best and possible options has been discussed and action plan is dedicated to solutions leading to maximizing revenue streams by proactively addressing areas of company operations that, while not responsible for leakage, are responsible for significant losses. | en_US |
