dc.description.abstract Microfinance attains a huge recognition after Muhammad Yunus received Nobel Prize in 2006.The main purpose of this research to analyse the impact of microfinance on Chakwal district whether it overcome poverty or trap people in layer of debt. For this report data is collected through questioners and interviews of some of clients of microfinance institutions. The microfinance institutions operating in Chawkal are FINCA Microfinance bank, Khushali Microfinance Bank, Kashf microfinance Bank, Tameer Microfinance Bank and Akhuwat Foundation. Many people are not satisfied with the interest rate charged by microfinance. There is no permanent increase seen in income of borrowers. For a successful microfinance consultancy services, should be provided to borrowers. en_US
