Impact of technological changes over portfolio of investments in tells private limited

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate and understand the impact of technological change over the portfolio of investments in Tesla Industries. The basic purpose of the study was to check that either the energy and power sector companies in Pakistan have a trend of diversifications or not. Their basic tendency towards technological change is studied. Technological change in our project context particularly represents conversion of petroleum products to compressed natural gas and with the help of primary and secondary data we have observed the impact of technological change over investments that are capital needed to adopt new technology. We have studied our topic globally as well as in Pakistani context and then specified it to our industry level that is Tesla private limited. In this way we have developed a proper understanding about the topic and its complexities. We have focused on the next technological change which will either be of CNG to LNG/LPG or CNG to Solar. In this regard we have forecasted the income statements and balance sheets of Tesla Industries for the next five years that will be from 2012 to 2017. We have also shown the value addition in their business after switching to the CNG in the past. We have also recommended different hedging techniques like forward contracts and options in order to maximize their profits. In this way, we have understood the impact of technological changes over investments in Tesla private limited as well its profitability. The result we have observed is that there is a strong impact of technological change over portfolio of investments which are created by Tesla industries.
