dc.description.abstract Change is the gist of every dynamic organization. Change occurs in almost all organizations i.e. at every level of the organization. The focus of our project would be on planned change in general and structural change in particular. Despite of work done in this area before, there are aspects which have not been discussed earlier. We will be focusing on changes in the authority patterns, access to information, allocation of rewards, technology, and the like. It would give us a clear view of the broad picture of the organization. We would be doing comparison of the organization before 1980 when it was led under the Federal Government and from 1980 till this time period since it has been autonomously run by the Board of Governors. As the title of the project depicts, the development of the organization due to the impact of change; change is defined in terms of work environment, training, and technology. Training further implies knowledge and skills of the employees. These are the variables of change. Unless the employees of an organization are not trained properly and empowered, the organization cannot achieve its objective. An Organization has to put effort to sustain its growth in the industry. Organizational development is defined in terms of the performance of the organization; its productivity. The focus area of our research is the public/health sector mainly. These could be profit and nonprofit organizations and we have discussed their major problems. There are no comparisons as such; we have studied a single organization and impact of change management on that. To be more specific, National Institute of Health has been selected to give a more clear view of the scenario. en_US
