dc.description.abstract The present research was conducted to obtain a relationship between internet addiction and the symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress while taking the university students of Islamabad Pakistan as the sample population. The data was taken from a university in Islamabad, Pakistan. Between group-design was selected for the present study. The sample was comprised of the students of university using internet more than four hours (N= 200) from which n= 78 were females and n= 122 were males. Participants were approached during their university hours and were given the two scales named internet addiction scale 20- items and DASS (depression, anxiety and Stress Scale) along with demographic information sheet and the consent form. According to the hypotheses, the internet addiction was assumed to have a statistical connection with the DASS scale scores among male and female university students. The results indicated that verification of all hypotheses by correlation and regression analysis. Limitations and suggestions for future were also discussed. en_US
