Is Energy Crisis the only reason for the low economic performance of textile industry of Pakistan?

Abstract

Textile industry has been the backbone of the economy since its conception. A major contributor towards the economy of the country and major part of the exporters group should be seriously formed to be in the same category as the most crucial processes of the country. The Ministry of Textile is the body that creates the major policies for this sector but eh sector has been suffering great losses and hence has been contributing less towards the economy. This needs serious focus to enable the sector for the achievement of its former glory and the modernized methods that can create a competency of the Textile products of Pakistan in the international market even when they stand out currently as the most quality based products. This international reputation should not be smeared over time to create a less responsive market. With this report, the purpose is to see how various inputs of the production process affect the working of the sector and how they can be improvised through careful planning and policy implementation.
