dc.description.abstract Since times immemorial, travel in most of cases was motivated by spiritual factors. This tradition continues, till today. Devotes throng in thousands at the shrines of saints and pious people whether Muslims or non-Muslims. People visit sacred places, and saints in expectation of fulfilment of their aspirations, both worldly and spiritual. Thus, men places saints and shrines, sacred men places of religious importance inspire and draw people from far and wide from all the four corners of the world, heretofore called as “Religious Tourism” To assess the availability of existing facilities to religious tourists at important religious places in the country and future demand of the facilities at shrines and to ascertain the extent of domestic and foreign tourists visiting these places through facilitating visitors by lodging and food around Sikh, Hindu Buddhist sites and Muslims religious places and making sure all security and safety concerns. en_US
