dc.description.abstract It is vital for every organization to consider their employees as an asset for which there is no replacement. No matter whatever industry in which the organization is operating. Its performance is mainly achieved through people as they are the one who can think and bring out innovation and creativity which adds to the organization’s success in form of better productivity growth, and more profitability. In order to have effective and efficient work force, there are some conditions to be achieved by the organizations. This study was aimed to identify the programs through which the employees can be skilled, they are imparted knowledge to perform and can easily manage situations. This study identifies leadership development as one of the important factor which can be implemented in organization for employee development to increase employee’s performance. To study the leadership development program’s effectiveness in terms of employees’ performance, leadership development variables were identified such as coaching, training and development, empowerment, participation and delegation. A clear and detailed framework has been developed which shows relationship of independent variables of Leadership Development with dependant variable ‘Employee’s performance’. Results are based on quantitative analysis of data which is gathered from 100 respondents. The data was quantitatively analyzed and it proved revealing that all the variables namely coaching, training and development, empowerment, participation and delegation had positive and significant influence on employee’s performance. Their combined effect in form of leadership development was also significant which positively influences the employee’s performance. Among all the variables, training and development showed the major influence on the employee’s performance. Empowerment has also positive impact but shows less impact as compared to other variables. Whereas coaching, participation and delegation also positively influenced employee’s performance. However, the five variables as leadership development factors collectively prove a synergic effect and increase the overall employee’s performance. This study can form the foundation or stepping stone for further exploration in the field of Human Resource Management and the concept of knowledge management and learning organizations can also be explained through this concept. en_US
