| dc.description.abstract | Pakistan Telecom is a huge market in its own right and by any standard possesses enormous potential. Prospects of telecommunication growth and development are bright in Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan is deeply committed to the ideals of deregulation and liberalization and to promoting Pakistan as an investor-friendly country. To this end, the government has enacted investment and telecommunication policies that present a progressive vision and offer attractive incentives to potential investors. Keeping this in view and to explore the utmost potential of Pakistan Telecommunication Market, we have formulated a business case for a Local Loop Operator, which will be operating in one of the telecom regions of the country. This right is being provided to us by recently announced De-regulation Policy which promises to award LL Licenses to various operators in different telecom regions of Pakistan. We have divided our study into five parts. In first three parts, we will discuss the country profile, the business environment and current telecom scenario. In fourth part, we are going to present our business case which has been formulated using the extracts from first three parts and is aiming to attract foreign investors for investing in local loop segment of Pakistan Telecommunication Market. | en_US |
