dc.description.abstract The research has studied the role of gas sector in the energy mix of Pakistan, the gas supply and demand gap till 2025, identification of factors and recommendations to reduce gas supply demand gap of the country. Research involves detailed analysis of Secondary data. Based on the secondary data gathered through different sources gas supply / demand curve is generated till year 2025. Further analysis of gas Supply and demand Curve components is carried out separately to identify factors that can increase gas supply or reduce gas demand in future. Based on the identified factors recommendations are made to reduce gas supply demand gap. On the basis of research it is concluded that country has the potential to increase indigenous supply of gas by expediting Exploration & Production activities.
