Feasibility study of a Sheet Glass Plant at Pezu, NWFP.

Abstract

Pakistan is rich both in raw materials and technical know how to produce sheet glass. It is therefore appropriate to produce sheet glass to meet ever increasing domestic demand in the country. The thesis is supervised by Ms. Fazeelat Nawaz and the length of the thesis is 121 pages inclusive of the annexure. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the feasibility of the sheet glass plant at Pezu, N.W.F.P. The data has been collected from primary and secondary sources. The information about the major sheet glass industries like Ghani Glass, Gunj Glass, Khawaja Glass and Tariq Glass has been mostly extracted from URL research and selected online sources. Analysis is also based on the results of consultations with the key retailers and wholesalers, together with the market survey (research, conversations and interviews). The project has been found financially viable and the investment in the project is justified, supported by the analysis of the market, financial and economic parameters. Financial rate of return, pay-back period and sensitivity analysis, all lend support to the viability of this investment proposal.
