dc.description.abstract Following their development as present day states amidst the twenty-first century, relations between India and China have been exceedingly mind boggling in nature and, generally, full with tension. It is contended that China has pursued a strategy of containment of India, testing its local prevalence in South Asia and building its neighbor's development as a major force to be reckoned with. A critical investigation of India's recently assertive strategy, both in Asia and beyond, uncovers that New Delhi has decided to back its arrangement of engagement of Beijing with a manifestation of counter-containment. This research focuses on the implications of Sino- Indian rapprochement on Pakistan and its strategic importance and role in Asia in general and South Asia in particular, as India, China, and Pakistan are regarded as members of a strategically interdependent subsystem. Since China and Pakistan’s relations have survived a long period of time and have undergone many tests, yet have still remained cordial, the renewed Sino-Indian relationship holds interesting possibilities for the future prospects of Pak-China friendship. en_US
