| dc.description.abstract | Asia has always had its significance since ancient times. However, over the past few years the region has shown tremendous economic growth and in this time the East Asian and the South Asian countries have reiterated their importance around the globe because of their booming economies. Modern literature and all the Post-development theorists have been studying this economic development closely and been cogitating various others phenomenon attached to it. “Asian countries especially China and India have maintained a rapid and sustainable economic growth (Mohazzam, 2012). Ali in his writing argued that the double digit growth of these elephant economies have surprised the world with overall increase in GDP and on the other hand there has been persistent negative impact on the income distribution ( Mohazzam, 2012). Asian development bank also in one of their publication by Zhuang and Hasan (2008) ‘Inclusive growth: Why is it important’ argued that income disparities in developing Asia have widened and the gap is increasing hence claiming that development has not been ‘Inclusive’. The issues of the disparity in incomes and the poverty margins that have widened not even have been of a serious concern for the economists, researches and politicians but the problem of the uneven growth processes also becomes even graver when developing countries experience this kind of incongruity in their economies. The case of Pakistan in this concern has characteristic importance. | en_US |
