dc.description.abstract This research focuses on the role of nuclear weapons in providing peace and stability in the South Asian region. The research is focusing on how and why do countries acquire nuclear weapons and how does it bring peace? The major focus is on the comparison of two different eras in India and Pakistan, the pre nuclear era and the post nuclear era, which helps us in analyzing the role played by nuclear weapons in providing stability in the region. My research work is descriptive and there would be a use of mixed methods, secondary source would be used for data collection. There would be efforts to conduct primary research in case any need arises. en_US
