dc.description.abstract Vulnerability of females along with poverty is a deadly combination in terms of survival and though it has become a universal phenomenon especially in the developing countries, very little attention has been paid to this rampant menace that is badly consuming the lives of this marginalized segment of society. I have based my research on understanding the relationship between deprived domestic female workers and their efforts of improving their lot in life by working in different capacities based on their skills and limited knowledge base, in terms of qualification and experience. I have tried to depict their life journey in a coherent manner with the help of the literature material available and by employing primary research and visiting the catchment area of Meherabadi on a regular basis. It has been revealing to see their resilience, courage and tenacity towards life that is truly an amazing example of survival. en_US
