dc.description.abstract The research mainly involves the reservoir evaluation from well logs and petrophysical interpretation of Chanda Deep - 01 Shakardarra town, Kohat District, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa. Total depth of Chanda Deep – 01 is 5100 m. Rock units in Chanda Deep – 01 well range from Miocene to Permian in age. The data was provided by Land Mark Resources Ltd., and approved by Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions. The rock units analyzed are Lockhart Limestone, Lumshiwal Formation, Kingriali Formation, Tredian Formation and Chiddru Formation. Research procedure involves determination of lithology from cross-plots, identifying, marking, analyzing and interpreting the reservoir zones from well logs. Several well logs were used including gamma ray log, sonic log, neutron log, density log and electrical logs. The research was carried out by using several petrophysical parameters; shale volume, porosity, bulk volume of water, bulk density, p-wave velocity, water saturation and hydrocarbon saturation. After the analysis and interpretation of well logs it was concluded that the best possible reservoir in study area is Lockhart Limestone. en_US
