Abstract:
Zindapir -1 well is located in district Dera Ghazi Khan of Punjab province.
Tectonically it lies at the eastern boundry of Sulaiman range in the Middle Indus
basin. Zindapir well is a southern most part of Safed Koh block after Rhodo and
Afiband.
The Safed Koh fold belt is the eastern most line of folding, comprised of four
anticlinal culminations which are known as Dhodak, Rodho, Afiband and Zindapir
anticlines.Zindapir Anticline is southern most and the largest culmination of the Safed
Koh line of folding.
The well data which includes well tops and well logs required for our study
was issued by LMKR (Land Mark Resources) with the prior permission from DGPC
(Director General Petroleum Concession).
Petrophysical analaysis of Zindapir 01 using the well logs was carried out in
order to mark the zone of interest i.e the reservoir zone, followed by the calculating
the volume of shale, sonic, density and neutron porosity, and resistivity of the water
of the formation. The overall evaluation of the well logs resulted in identification of
two possible reservoirs present in Lower Goru and Chiltan formations respectively.
