| dc.description.abstract | Chanda oil field is located in Shakardara area, Kohat District which lies in Upper Indus basin. The petrophysical analysis is carried out on Chanda-1 well to identify reservoir zone and to evaluate the reservoir characteristics and their correlation. On the basis of this analysis one probable zone is marked in Datta Formation at the depth interval of 4750m to 4790m. The calculated value for volume of shale is 14.54%, average porosity is 6.2%, effective porosity is 4.95%, average water saturation is 33.19% and average hydrocarbon saturation is 66.80%. The calculations for petrophysical analysis explicate the reservoir interval of Datta Formation has very good hydrocarbon potential. | en_US |
