| dc.description.abstract | The Petrophysical properties of Gajwaro field are performed to identify hydrocarbon bearing reservoir and study reservoir properties on the basis of Gajwaro-01 well data.Electrical log, Gamma ray log, Neutron log, Density log, Sonic log are the logs used for the interpretation The reservoir,Lower Goru Formation ranges from 3240m – 3620m and its thickness is 380m, with an average shale volume of 43.5%, total porosity is 15.5 %, effective porosity is 8.9 %, water saturation is 52.92 %, hydrocarbon saturation is 47.08 %, and average bulk density is 2.50g/cm³. Lower Goru Formation is a reservoir because average total porosity is about 15% and average water saturation is 52.92 %. This is carried out with Microsoft Excel sheets and Starter® Log analysis software package. But it shows different characteristics which tells that Lower Goru Formation in Gajwaro -01 well is a reservoir zonehas tight sand reservoir but contains no hydrocarbons and it is a dry well because it has low shear stresses, low effective porosity and intercalations of shale in sand. | en_US |
