Abstract

The research has been conducted on “Development of SOP’s for ORCA ENERGIES”, under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Sajjad Anwar Pasha. The empirical part of this study focuses attention on the development of standard operating procedures along with financial formats’ which helps in effective performance and revenue growth in CNG sector. CNG directed energy sector a new dimension is not only motivated the individuals to come as an entrepreneur but also the corporate (OMC’S) to enter into it and get their share the over whelming demand of CNG make it a billions of rupee industry. Having a Meta Market starting from the real state to maintenance. ORCA International (Pvt.) Ltd Islamabad has been working in this sector from more than 5 years and has a proven track record in evaluating, operating and maintenance of chain of CNG stations. The company has ample understanding and experience of handling the bidding documents related to equipment and operations. They believe that the bidding document in general varies from case to case but there are few standard documents they should accompany with every bid. In the initial phase we have studied the standard operating procedures in ORCA ENERGIES. Then the Analysis was made for the identifications of errors in different procedures. We had developed the CNG retail outlet development plan We developed market area survey which is applicable to all types of markets pertaining to CNG/fuel retail network. Assemble Information on the Plot, Assemble Information on Traffic Routs, Assemble Information on Competition, Supply & Demand analysis, Leakage/Influx based on supply & demand phenomenon, Sales forecasting, geographical limits, retail outlet establishment, design & construction criteria, financial model,site appraisal (presentation for project approvals), safety audit, training. All the data was collected with the help of questionnaire, interviews, personal observation and company documents. In the second phase we have made the solution by making financial formats on the basis of standard operating procedures which help in effective performance and revenue growth in CNG sector.
