dc.description.abstract Zindapir-01 well is located in Punjab province and administratively lies in Dera Ghazi Khan District. Tectonically well lies on the eastern most margin of Sulaiman fold belt in Central Indus Basin. Well lies in the Safed Koh block where Zindapir inner folded zone along with northern Dhodak, Rodho and Afiaband anticlines having steep eastern limbs into the Sulaiman Depression are present. For petrophysical analysis of Zindapir-01 well log data along with well tops have been acquired from Land Mark Resources (LMKR). Using well log and tops data two hydrocarbon prospective zones have been marked i.e. in Goru Formation and Chiltan Formation. Petrophysical analysis of Goru and Chiltan showed Volume of Shale 14.7% and 1.08% , density 2.35 g/cm3 and 2.40 g/cm3, effecticve porosity as 8.97% and 1.13% and using Archie’s equation hydrocarbon saturation as 12.9% and 18.9% respectively, finally net pay zone has been identified based on different cut offs of Shale volume, Effective porosity and Water saturation. Whole research study of Zindapir-01 indicates presence of two possible reservoir zones in Goru sands and Chilton limestone sealed by the shales of Goru and of Sember formation respectively. en_US
