dc.description.abstract Early age marriage has certain socio-economic, demographic and health outcomes and consequences. This study examines the trend of early age marriages in Pakistan using data from Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) by carrying out uni-variate analysis of ever married women from age 15 to 49. Due to difference in cultural traditions and kinships, age at marriage is different in different regions of the world. Women with increasing birth cohort tend to marry earlieraswomen who born earlier have higher possibility of marrying in younger ages than the women in youngest cohort. With the development interventions and changing socio-economic roles of women, decreasing trend of early marriage occurrence is found en_US
