dc.description.abstract The study of the area was carried out by the motivation for the evaluation of hydrocarbons. The techniques and procedure to do the task includes the structural and stratigraphic interpretation of seismic lines and petrophysical analysis. Seismic data analysis comprises of identification and marking of the different Lithological horizons and naming them according to the depths. The demarcation of different faults on these horizons is to develop the structural geometry. Seismic depth and time mapping was used to develop structural contour maps using different licensed software. The analysis of petrophysics was carried out for the computation of different reservoir properties like porosity, volume of shale, water saturation etc. After the critical analysis of all the data, an integrated study was carried out to develop reservoir characteristics. Petrophysical analysis based on certain factors amongst which resistivity of water (Rw) was the most important one, ending up in finding the saturation of water and hydrocarbons. On the basis of these results, reservoir zones are determined in the Basal sands and Massive sands of Lower Goru Formation with good hydrocarbon potential. en_US
