| dc.description.abstract | The study area Dhodak located away from DG Khan in of Punjab Province Dhodak falls in west Sulaiman Fordeep adjacent to Sulaiman fold belt.It is situated on the west bank of the Indus River, 200 miles (320 km) west of Lahore and 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Multan.Rocks exposed in the area were youngest Siwaliks exposed. Tectonics was compressional in this area whose are younger than Siwaliks.Anticline, synclines and reverse and thrust faults are area character. Four migrated seismic lines i.e. 785-SK-04, 785-SK-05, 795-SK-06, 795-SK- 07, and one well named Dhodak-01 were obtained from Oil and gas Development Corporation OGDCL. The horizons were identified using formation tops from wells and their depths were confirmed.Time and depth contour maps of the horizons of interest have been generated to understand the variation across the study area. The whole information was given in time section which was helpful in the conversion of time section into depth section. These conversions are helpful for interpretation of the area, which was one of our basic purposes of this project. | en_US |
