dc.description.abstract The study area is located in Khairpur district of Sindh Province. It falls in the Keyhole Development and Exploration Lease, which currently is under the operatorship of OGDCL. We obtained five seismic lines (strike line: 20017-BTM-02, dip lines 20027-BTM-01, 20017-BTM-03, 20017-05, and 20017-BTM-06) and well logs of well Fateh -01 from Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC). The Bitrism Block lies under extensional tectonic regime comprised of t horst and graben structures due to normal faults. Our study area is also located in Bitrism Block showing monocline structure dipping in north east direction. Four clear reflectors were marked on the time sections which are Kirthar, Sui Main Limestone, Upper Ranikot, Lower Ranikot and Lower Goru Formation. Our targeted formation was Lower Goru because it was proven a good reservoir for hydrocarbons. Then faults were marked on the sections. After that time and depth contours were generated through software (Surfer 11) which were helpful in knowing the tectonic structure of the area. The times section were made after picking time of horizons on seismic sections and then depth sections were made which were helpful in the interpretation of the area. Petrophysical study was done on the Fateh-01 well through well logs to know about the reservoir properties like volume of shale, porosities, water and hydrocarbon saturations. en_US
