| dc.description.abstract | The main objective and purpose of the research was to conduct an exploratory study that can help uncover the relationships between the supply chain risks (SCRs) and supply chain integration (SCI) in the context of Pakistan manufacturing sector. The researcher followed the positivist research paradigm keeping the ontological perspective of the reality very objective and singular. The study targeted mainly respondent from large manufacturing plants operating in Pakistan employing a multivariate multiple regression model to assess the impact that the SCR had on SCI and the direction and strength of the relationship between the sub variables of the y’s construct employed, namely (SI, II & CI). Kendall tau b and spearman rank correlation coefficients were employed to address the Non-parametric Measures of Bivariate Relationships. The finding from the research depict that SCRs are negatively related to SCI and that Demand Variability Risk is more important predicting variable than Supply Delivery Risk as it has a stronger negative impact than the latter as depicted in the regression model. The study involves dealing with SCR that is a multi-dimensional and novel concept and many other dimensions can identified using an additional exploratory research in future on which further validation can be conducted to generalize the findings. | en_US |
