dc.description.abstract | Work life balance is an important issue for the researchers and organizations. The term work-life balance is used to define how employees balance their work and family commitments successfully. According to various studies, work and non work commitments if not managed well can result in work-life conflict and make employees' life difficult. Work life conflict can result in a number of negative consequences including stress, poor performance, and low productivity. On the other hand, it can cause problem in employees' personal life with their family/spouse. This research study focuses women's productivity and how it is affected by components of work-life balance like women's domestic responsibilities and organization's role. The type of study is exploratory, and it explores the level of work-life balance among women working in education sector of Pakistan specifically in Islamabad. Firstly, it investigates how demographic factors like age, experience, marital status and number of children affect a woman's productivity at work; secondly, it investigates if there is any relationship between women's productivity and their domestic responsibilities. Women in Pakistani context are expected to fulfill a number of tasks at the same time; they are expected to look after the family, the extended family, the home. Therefore, Pakistani working women are an important subject to study in this regard. In addition to this, role of educational institutes in helping women manage their work and home successfully is also investigated in this report. The investigation is done by surveying female faculty members from a number of educational institutes of Islamabad. The results were interpreted using the software, SPSS. The results are then analyzed by comparing them with the literature review written in the light of early studies. The report concludes with the recommendation and bibliography. | en_US |
