dc.description.abstract | This research work was carried out at Miano gas field, Central Indus basin, Pakistan, by integrating the geological and geophysical technique. Seven seismic lines which are P2092-110 (Strike line), P2092-111 (Dip line), P2092-113 (Dip line), P2092-114 (Strike line), P2092-115 (Dip line), P2092-117 (Dip line) and P2092-119 (Dip line) and well log data of four wells namely, Miano-01, Miano-02, Miano-07 and Miano-09 utilized to check the productivity of the area. Dip lines are E-W oriented and strike lines are N-S and NE-SW directed. This data is used for identifying the stratigraphic traps and the well log data for determining the reservoir characteristics and fluid content. A complete petroleum system exist in the area, the main reservoir is of the middle Cretaceous age (Lower Goru Formation). Synthetic seismogram is prepared using the sonic and density log of all the four wells to confirm the ties of seismic traces of sections with well data. Stratigraphic correlation maps are prepared using available wells data which depicts the eastward dipping of the formations in the area. Petrophysical interpretation performed for all four wells shows quite rich hydrocarbon saturation values which averages about 65 % of all the wells. | en_US |
