dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of corporate governance variables on the financial performances of the firms. Several dependent variables (in this case, Return on Assets or ROA), independent variables (e.g. board size, board independence, CEO duality) and control variables have been examined to determine the relationship. The sample of the study comprises of ten food and beverages companies listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange. The findings of this study show that corporate governance and firm's financial performance are positively co-related. en_US
