| dc.description.abstract | The project was about identifying different models around the globe that are using ICT tools and analyzing them in context with applying a similar model in Pakistan. We saw the need for this project because of the recent advent in 3G & 4G technology in Pakistan. We wanted to see how we can use these among other internet based technologies to help improve the current education system implemented in Pakistan. The purpose was to improve and remove some of the problems mentioned in this research regarding education sector and more precisely the Primary Sector. We analyzed ICT implemented models from Asia and other major projects going around the world. We found that some of these ICT models can be implemented by adding a little in the Primary Sector of Pakistan, the project model that was our main focus was Nokia Education Delivery (NED) which has been implemented in India & Khan Academy which started in 2006. In the end we found that we can implement a model and improve education quality but for this we need synergy between the government, education and corporate sector. Overall we believe that this research may help in realizing a huge opportunity in the education sector in Pakistan that can be beneficial for all these sectors. | en_US |
