Abstract:
Workplace wellbeing and protection has a uninterrupted or unintended effect on
structural obligation, worker pleasure and output in service businesses and also as in
manufacturing industries. The research is sought to access the impact of workplace health
and safety standards on employee satisfaction and productivity in Nishat Chunian ltd.
The objective was to identify the health and safety standards Nishat Chunian Limited, to
govern the influence of wellbeing and protection standards on employee’s satisfaction
and productivity, to define employee’s level of understanding of health and safety
policies, to assess the attitude of management towards the healthiness and security of
employees and to categorize challenges of the implementation of health and safety
standards in the organization.
The study was limited to the managers and supervisors of Nishat Chunian Limited.
Research questionnaire and interview were developed and distributed to a sample of 50
workers. Responses received were from the entire sample. The study discovered that
employee productivity and satisfaction is influence by management safety practices and
safety programs, management attitude towards health and safety, investigation of
accidents, supervisor’s safety, and training of employees on safety standards held in the
organization. It also confirms that health and safety practices if managed effectively have
a positive impact on productivity and satisfaction.
It is therefore recommended that organization should put in place effective workplace
health and safety practices and management should take the labor’s health and safety
issues seriously and have the knowledge of solving these issues, it is also recommended
that employee should be given proper training about health and safety. The findings
revealed that there is no occurrence of such serious challenges regarding health and
safety of employees at Nishat Chunian ltd. There should also be a need of continuously
improving the workplace health and safety practices in the organization
