dc.description.abstract The focal point of this report is on the inventory management within warehouse of Orient electronics. Since Supply chain Management is itself a very big department, doing numeral activities at a time but our main focal point is to examine the effectiveness of warehouse management system and its impact on the efficiency of inventory management. Qualitative research is used to determine the warehouse house management’s effectiveness in Orient. The data for this project was gathered from Ch.Arshad Iqbal who is senior manager controls at the company. Data was collected through several interviews and visits to the organization. Gathered data was analyzed with Huang’s model of warehouse management. On these grounds we have also identified the problems such as lack of trained employees and inventory handling. The major problem is the wrong forecast which leads to certain losses in the form of dead inventory. At the end we have given a few recommendations in which we have described the solutions to the problems which the company is facing. This report concludes that overall warehouse management is good at Orient but in every successful system still there is some room for improvement. They are lacking with inventory handling in an outside the warehouse and they can cover that by introducing a separate module of SAP warehouse management which would not only help to sequence inventory but also minimize the losses of inventory. en_US
