| dc.description.abstract | This report focus on problem of Mira Power Limited where employees from two different nationalities work together. The purpose of this study is to know the significance of the training program and how this training will contribute in cross-cultural adjustments for the employees working at Mira Power Limited. The report starts with an introduction of the differences in culture among Pakistan and orea. It further talks in detail about the expatriate issues. The problems faced by the expatriates while they are on international assignments are discussed. The importance of pre departure training and trainings related to cross cultural differences and language trainings are also discussed. We have selected the organization ‘Mira Power Limited’. In this organization we have conducted a need analysis and have come to the conclusion that the organization can help in improving the employee performance. If the expatriates are given the training prior their visit to Korea or Pakistan, this will help in effective communication in the organization. The study will give input to the company’s department of International Assignments, since the unit’s activities will be presented and explored from a theoretical perspective. Qualitative and quantitative analysis are done through the use of structured and unstructured interviews. SPSS is used for the quantitative analysis of the data. Interviews were conducted from both, Korean and Pakistani employees to validate the result of our study. The report is concluded by giving recommendations in the form of a proper ‘training manual’. With the help of this training manual, not only Mira Power Limited but all other organization which are facing problems due to cultural and linguistic barriers can solve their issues and train their employees accordingly. No similar study has previously been performed about the company ‘Mira Power Limited’. It will therefore be of use both for Mira Power limited and anyone who is interested in the subject. | en_US |
