dc.description.abstract A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a standard industrial control device that provides a simple, yet robust, method of controlling manufacturing and dynamic processes. As a result of their high efficiency, adaptability, and reliability, PLCs are by far the most common control mechanism used by manufacturing businesses of all sizes for environment control, food processing, motion control, and automated test equipment. Pakistani industry is lacking in automated control. By going through the industry review and visits we feel that our industry can be revolutionized by controlling the machines automatically. There are numerous PLC’s available in the market. But they are very expensive and it’s very hard for small industry to install those PLC’s in their units. Even bigger units can’t afford such PLC’s. Keeping in mind the above problem we decided to make a Custom Designed Board for Process Control (PLC), whose cost will be low enough that even small industrial units can install them in their factories. We are designing a PLC for Pakistani Industry Whose overall cost is extremely low as compared to others available in the market. Our PLC has 16 digital Inputs and 16 digital Output ports. Any process that requires 16 digital Input and 16 digital Output Pins can easily be controlled by our Module. Our PLC works on Standard Ladder logic design. en_US
