| dc.description.abstract | Efficient monitoring and management of vehicles is a complex task and hard to do manually. There is a lot of problem and challenges of management and performance optimization. Nowadays, most of the cars have electronic engines and they required to be analyzed periodically to keep engine the fault free. Therefore, a proper and efficient system is developed for management and performance optimization of vehicle health through real time observations. The thesis focused on proposed hardware and software for analyzing the performance and health of vehicle. The data about vehicle condition is extracted through On-Board Diagnostic system (OBD) and Engine Control Unit (ECU). The proposed system has implemented multiple protocols therefore it can communicate or linked with vast variety of vehicles. The designed product obtains data from vehicle through OBD scanning tool. It has an OBD interpreter IC STN1110, this IC can read five generic OBD-II protocols, and this thing allows the system to communicate with multiple varieties of vehicles. This collected data can be send to any kind of mobile device (e.g. Cell phone, Tablet, Laptop) which can visualize it through Bluetooth. This shows different kind of data regarding to engine condition such as Ignition, Check light, RPM, Air intake etc. This system is not developed for professional use but it can also be used by layman. Because it is a highly user friendly system, it just need to be connected in port and rest of functions are automatic. This system provides complete data about vehicle’s engine condition, so that one can keep his vehicle proper healthy and efficient. This system is a kind of contingency device because it inform the vehicle owner about problem when it is at minor level without going to any workshop. | en_US |
