Abstract:
Object tracking is a process of locating a moving object over time using a camera. Tracking is usually performed in the context of higher-level applications that require the location and/or shape of the object in every frame. The prototype consists of an image processing camera which grabs the video of specific area in real time scenario. After applying the image processing techniques on the desired object, it sends a signal to the controller which activates the motors. Finally, a moving object is tracked by an electric gun and a laser mounted on the motors.
Initially, complete phenomenon is implemented on MATLAB Image Acquisition toolbox by using laptop webcam for software testing. Afterwards, those algorithms are implemented on controller for hardware building. The prime objective behind this idea is to provide an
unmanned border surveillance which is totally isolated and automatic to eliminate man
bounding. This prototype has a wide variety of uses in military for border security and
surveillance purposes.
