dc.description.abstract Generators are versatile source of electric power. Generators have numerous applications in many industries and that is why they are considered very pivotal devices. The optimal performance of the generator depends on its efficiency. This project deals with the quantification of generator’s performance parameters i.e. rpm, load, current, voltage etc. at various load conditions. The project focuses on the sensors and their mounting on the generator. The sensors used are Beam Type Load Cell for load, Optical Shift Encoder for rpm, for Voltage & Current Step Down Transformer with H-bridge which makes alternating current and voltage produced by generator measurable to Arduino Mega 2560 Controller. Software interface is Arduino Tool Kit, Lab View & Arduino programming language. Finally, integration of software and hardware. This project is useful in generator testing for Research & Development purpose. en_US
