Abstract:
The demand of renewable energy resources is increasing rapidly and to satisfy this hunger
for energy there are several ways discovered so the people can benefit from it. Solar
energy is one of the most important and vastly available source of energy and at no cost.
This project is about the use of solar energy. This project involves a method that
can give an efficient solution to the use of solar power. The project is based on an
Arduino based dual-axis solar tracking system, which is built and tested and all the results
are meeting the expectations. This project is about, to track the sun during the whole day.
As it is an essential requirement for a solar panel to always face the sun in order to
provide maximum efficiency and as we know that the motion of the sun is continuous
throughout the day and it can be explained as maximum that the light source is 1.5 degree
perpendicular. We can get maximum output power through the tracking, because it aligns
the panel in front of sun.
We will track the movement of sun according to the amount of light it transmits at
a certain point during the course of the day by using sensors, along with the solar tracking
there will be a continuous data acquisition according to which the voltage of the solar
panel will be displayed at all time. The motion of the motors will be totally dependent
upon the output voltage that is recorded.
